Ingredients
3 pounds flanken
½ cups barley
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons paprika
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
½ teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon onion soup mix
Optional add-ins:
Chopped carrots
Sliced mushrooms
Chopped parsnip
Place all ingredients in crockpot and turn to high. Cook for about 8 hours.

how much water do you put in the cholent?
Approximately 1 1/2 cups, or just enough to cover all ingredients by about 1/2 inch.
