I have heard that if extra virgin olive oil or any other veg. oil is heated you have the same effect as hydrogenated oil.  Is this true?

After hearing that I have gotten into the habit of adding extra virgin olive oil after food is cooled to eating temperature, which can’t be done with cakes, cookies, etc.]]></description>
